Global Dovedale

This is a brand new Dovedale blog designed to keep you up-to-date with all our global news. We will tell you about our global links and we will include photographs, news and information about the countries our school has linked with. Currently, Dovedale has a link with a school in France and a school in Gambia. We often fundraise for the school in Gambia and your continued support is much appreciated by both pupils in this school and the pupils of Grace Baptist School in Gambia.

Chinese New Year!

Dovedale will be celebrating Chinese New Year on Friday 31st January.

In school we will be:

Lantern painting
Making Chinese opera masks
Creating our own fortune cookies
Writing a play
Writing a celebratory poem
Looking at the Dragon/lion dances
Creating our own Chinese calender
Discussing our New year`s resolutions
Chinese painting
Make a Chinese fan using art straws
Painting the Chinese symbols for 'Happy new year'-using black paint

It will be the year of the HORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
